Lake District Walks

Our aim at WalkLakes is to help you make the most of walking in the Lake District. We do that by searching out the best walks we can find from gentle to challenging and also by putting you in touch with other people who have walked in the Lake District via our forum.

If you want you can keep track of your walks using our web site and log how many hills you've climbed and of what type, be they Wainwrights, Birketts, Hewitts, Nuttalls, or Marilyns. You can also explore all the hills in the Lake District using our interactive map or throughout Great Britain using our hill finder.

We hope we can help you get more out of walking in the Lake District but do let us know if there's anything more we could do to help.

This evening

Any showers in the east of the park will die out this evening with some sunny or clear intervals to follow. However rain may reach the south towards midnight. Light winds.

Tomorrow

Sunny intervals and heavy showers, possibly thundery.

Heavy rain developing in the early hours, a low risk of thunder, dying out towards dawn with cloud breaking. Then sunny intervals, with showers developing, some heavy with the chance of thunder, dying out in the evening. Best sunshine towards the west coast and westernmost fells where it may stay dry.

Visibility: Some patchy cloud at 600m at first but lifting above tops by mid morning. Visibility mainly good by day away from the early cloud but some temporary reductions in showers, briefly poor in heaviest showers.
