Hello!

Just a quick post to say hello and many thanks for such a comprehensive and informative site.

I was a frequent visitor and walker in the lakes many years ago but haven't been back for far too long.

I'm coming for a short break in Buttermere in a fortnight's time and am really looking forward to a few days walking and wallowing in nostalgia. I've been using the Croft House webcam - http://crofthousebuttermere.lanthwaiteweb.co.uk/CHFC/Webcam.html - to keep an eye on the conditions and hopefully the snow will stick around until I get there as here in Berlin we've had a really mild winter.

That webcam looks useful we'll see about adding it to the page we keep of the reliable ones. I like Buttermere... which reminds me. You'll find the Keswick to Borrowdale road shut at Watendlath so it might be a bit chaotic thereabouts.

Hope you bring some good weather with you, although the tops are getting plastered it is unconsolidated windslab. I'm hoping there'll be a bit of a freeze-thaw cycle to stick it all together. Keep and eye on http://www.lakedistrictweatherline.co.uk for the latest.
