High Dam, Finsthwaite - dog friendly - are there sheep?

I'm planning to do the walk from Finsthwaite to High Dam on Sunday afternoon with two 10 year old girls and our dog. Our dog, a lively 2-year old Irish Setter, loves to run about and it's no fun for anyone if we have to keep her on her lead. But as with everywhere in the Lakes I'm wary of sheep. Does anyone know if there are sheep along the walk?

I can't recall there were any when we did the walk, but that's no guarantee there wont be when you visit. Sorry I can't be more positive.
