Hi all,

Friends of the Lake District (FOLD) are trying to raise £15,000 by participating in their Walk across Morecambe Bay. I did this walk last year in the company of over 500 other and can recommend it as a prefect day out.

Its roughly 7.5 miles from Arnside Promenade to Kents Bank in Grange over Sands. The walk is professionally organised by the new official guide Michael Wilson who replaced the memorable Cedric Robinson who sadly passed away last year. His book "Sands of Time" captived the true community spirit which have kept this tradition going in modern times and is highly recommended - see Sands of Time - Cedric Robinson

I captured the event via GPX and its trace confirms just how flat the seabed is in these parts. Great family and dog day out for a good cause.
