I was considering these as a new project, and thought of Wainwright's Outlying Fells, since I have just completed the Wainwrights. I have already climbed the Marilyns so I was checking your list to see what is and isn't a Marilyn and got to Dent, which you only have as an Outlying Fell. If I check Hill bagging, it comes up as Marilyn https://www.hill-bagging.co.uk/mountaindetails.php?qu=S&rf=2504 Are there 2 Dents in the Lake District. You both seem to be referring to the same one, but I could be mistaken.

There is only one Dent but it has two summits at slightly different locations. There's this one which is the same one to which you're linking and we have as a Marilyn, HuMP, Clem and Tump but there's also this one as little to the north west which is a Wainwright Outlying Fell.
This does happen sometimes where the hill has more than one high point ... but it does provide an easy means to bag two tops ![]()
Thank you. I shall now have to get out husband's account and see if we would have bagged both (He's no longer here) When I said I had done the Marilyns, I haven't, climbed 5 St. KIlda sea stacks(and won't), or a couple they seem to have "found" since we stopped. It looks as if we may have done both as I suspect we came in over the Wainwright outlying fell to do the Marilyn. Maybe it can wait until the end. ...if I don't get waylaid by something else.
