• A few Walks Near Grasmere
Today we're looking at three of our walks starting in or near Grasmere village, rated by us as one, two and three "fells" in order of difficulty.
The small village of Grasmere located in the heart of the Lakes is an ideal base for walkers, with a wide variety of hills and surrounding countryside there is going to be something suitable for everyone. It's the spring so the ticks are out again looking for a meal off you or your dog. We've already found two on ours.
It's the spring so the ticks are out again looking for a meal off you or your dog. Ticks are small, spider-like creatures that feed on the blood of animals, including people. The size of a tick varies, depending on the stage of its life cycle, gender, species and whether it has fed recently. Nymphs are about the size of a poppy seed, while adult ticks look more like tiny spiders. read more ... |
