• We've Upgraded Our Maps

We've just rolled out our new WayMaps mapping across our whole web site.

When you use our site you may have noticed that we use Ordnance Survey mapping for some of our maps (in the maps introducing each walk for example) but for licensing reasons we use an alternative set of tiles we were given, which we called OpenMaps, for most mapping e.g. the location of hills, the subjects of photos in our gallery, or the little maps shown for each step of our walks.  read more ...

• Hills Database Updated

We've just imported the latest version of the Database of British and Irish hills which adds another 213 hills to our database including another 10 in the Lake District and makes lots of changes to the existing hill data.

• We've Got The Latest Maps

Ordnance Survey launch their new Landranger maps on 24th February. We've got the new covers online and links to Amazon for you to pre-order.

As you'll know already if you've bought an Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 Explorer or Outdoor Leisure map recently their latest 1:25,000 maps now include an option to download a copy of the map to your mobile device if you use their app. This is coming to their new edition 1:50,000 Landranger maps two weeks from today on Wednesday, 24th February.  read more ...
