If you're looking for something a little different, whether it's an overnight stop on the challenging C2C route, or a base so that you can explore the beautiful Lake District on foot, then Stafford House Lodge/Hostel is the perfect place to be.
We are led to believe that it was built in 1834, as this date is clearly etched into one of the main Sandstone Blocks used to construct the building. It was originally used as the "Fruit Store" for Greystoke Castle which just another 700 yards further up the drive!
It has self-catering facilities, and is sited within the large walled garden of an enchanting Grade 11 listed "Folly" which itself is set in the magnificent grounds of Greystoke Castle.
Finished to a high standard, the Lodges are in perfect keeping with their surroundings, still retaining the original oak beams, bags of character and comfortable charm.
Only 10 minutes from the M6 Motorway, we are perfectly situated for you to enjoy the stunning countryside. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists alike or indeed anyone who would just like to relax, enjoy the peace and tranquillity, and let themselves totally unwind
There are two lodges are available at Stafford House. Included in the price is all your bed linen and towels, and shower gel/shampoo. Also Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk, Orange Juice, Bread, Cereals, Butter and Jams.
We also have details of 2 other similar properties nearby which might suit you.
