Welcome to Wayside Guest Accommodation & Whisky Barn. Wayside Farm was built in approximately 1637 on the west coast of the Lake District Cumbria.



Wayside guest accommodation & Whisky Barn is situated at the base of Black Combe surrounded by stunning scenery and the Cumbrian coast.



It is the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away or for the more adventurous we provide an excellent base for walking biking sea kayaking wind surfing kite surfing we have fantastic horse riding or if you are touring around the south west coast on motorbikes.



We are an ideal place to stay overnight with secure parking and after an exciting day out why not relax with a cold glass of beer or a pint of cold draught Peroni good food or a warming single malt whisky if you try one and really like it you could purchase a bottle from our whisky barn to take home with you.



In summer we have an outdoor area with picnic benches where you can enjoy the views of Black Combe and totally relax.



The accommodation has been carefully and tastefully renovated from a disused derelict barn and has kept many of its original features. All four bedrooms are decorated individually have good quality furnishings and are all ensuite. If you enjoy the outdoor life and walking then Black Combe is located directly behind the hotel with easy access.



At The Wayside we believe a healthy body is healthy mind. The gym Millstones in Bootle holds state-of-the art equipment and short drive from The Wayside. It is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and our guests can have an access by paying a small deposit. A personal trainer can be arranged if booked in advance.



The hotel has secure storage ideal for bikes canoes and other equipment.



One well-behaved dog (two if they are of a small breed) is welcome in Windermere (the Annex). They are also welcome in the bar area.
