  • "Thank You Very Happy with the property."

It was very clean and warm. The bed was comfortable and allowed a good night's sleep as the area has no light pollution and is dark and quiet. The kitchen was well equiped and had a good outlook over the garden to watch the wild birds feeding. Liked the large walk in shower. From the small conversation I had with the owner about the key to the property it shows they care that all went smoothly. I am sure if I had had a problem they would be there to sort the problem quickly.

Indeed we would have. We are sorry we didn't get the chance to come over and meet you and see your lovely car but we did appreciate you sending us some photos. Thank you for your very positive comments about Teign View Property Owner

It was lovely to meet Joan and colin a couple of times, who were very friendly and helpful with information about the local area, and amenities. The lovely Devon cream tea on arrival was very enjoyable. Have to also mention the lovely large enclosed garden, which our boy Joey really enjoyed. • "Fantastic!!!"

Just spent an amazing week at Teign View with my mother and her small dog! We searched for:- 1) A well maintained house with an enclosed garden for Alfie the Shih tzu 2) Walk in shower for my elderly mother 3) Quiet peaceful location in a rural setting, not too far from the coast 4) Pub within walking distance Well, we hit the jackpot, although the house is lovely and very comfortable, we had wonderful weather and therefore, spent most of the time outside in the garden or visiting local villages or coastal towns all within a 30 minute drive. We found the property to be exactly as described, however the photos on the website really don't do it justice. The beautiful garden is totally enclosed and Alfie had a wonderful time playing freely and we relaxed enjoying the sun and sounds of nature! Most evenings were spent at the local pub (The Manor Inn) literally 4 minutes walk from the property - with friendly staff and wonderful food! Also, (almost forgot) there was nice surprise awaiting our arrival - Devon Cream Tea, fresh milk, a bottle of wine and treats for the dog! On the downside - no dishwasher and (for those who can't survive without a mobile), there is no mobile/internet signal in the valley! The WIFI works perfectly inside the house but not in the garden and so there is a landline at the property for emergencies. Yes, We would definitely return !!!

Thank you for your lovely comments and I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Sorry you were disappointed about the lack of a dishwasher, but I would point out that we do not advertise there being one at the property Property Owner

Property was lovely and clean and dog friendly with a secure garden. The welcome bottle of wine and cream tea was unexpected but a great surprise. Lovely quiet location which is what we were after. The only downside was the size of the tv in the living room, this was a portable tv and could have been larger. A part from that an excellent stay and lovely cottage will definitely recommend and will return.

So pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and sorry that you found the television, although not a portable set, to be a little on the small side. 00 per week was a rip off.The storage heaters at the cottage can on in the early hours of the morning so by the time we got up the storage heaters was only warm.We keep the doors all shut as required so when we can back from the days out it was only warm.So leaving the evening quite cold. All that was there also a electric fire that was in the lounge part only. Not a very happy customer.

The comfort of our guests and the enjoyment of their stay at our property is extremely important to us which is why we always meet with our guests on the day of arrival to make sure that they are happy. What a pity that you did not contact us with your concerns. If you don't tell us you have a problem, how can we respond and put it right for you? Our contact details are on the welcome card and also in the information file and your attention was drawn to this when we popped over to say hello shortly after your arrival, advising you to get in touch should you subsequently find anything unsatisfactory, have a problem with the property or need help with anything at all. We arrived at Teign View shortly after your departure on Saturday morning and found the heating units to be working efficiently and the property nice and warm, as it was when we checked again in the evening, so we are at a loss to understand why you were cold. It is such a shame if you feel that this spoiled your holiday when all you needed to do was to phone and speak with us and we would have come straight over to remedy the situation. Property Owner
