  • "Overall a nice property in a nice location."

Well equipped, with comfy furniture, good appliances and homely interior. Clean and warm inside. The property is deceptively pictured from the outside as being quite secluded with lots of ground / space around the property, but unfortunately alot of the exterior photos have been taken from the land of other properties which are closer to the property than the photos imply. Not a problem this time of year but could have been in the summer when there with young family. Overall, very nice.

Thankyou for your comments, I’m pleased you found the cabin cosy and comfortable. The cabins are set in a little park, it’s quiet and does not attract a lot of families with children as there are no other services on site. Property Owner

  • "The property is in a very scenic and convenient spot."

It will be ideal for most people, however it is not suitable at all for people with limited mobility needing to use aids like walking frame or wheelchairs. The internal doorways are very narrow - 52 cms (20.5 inches) width. There is no mention of this in the description on the website although we noticed that it was mentioned in the user manual kept in the lodge. I understand that the owner cannot change the structure of the lodge but it should be mentioned on the website.

I’m sorry you were unaware of the steps and narrow doors, I shall update the description on the website. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner

Thankyou for your comments. I have a wonderful housekeeper, who deserves the credit Property Owner

Thankyou for your feedback. I have asked Allerdale Council several times and the site owner but I’m told they cannot get the necessary bins on site. Recycling is available In keswick. Property Owner

  • "Nice clean cabin, enjoyed our stay, lovely walk into town, you can also cut through the park which is a nicer walk."

Very busy dual carriageway to cross over to head into town. All in all very nice. The fridge is not on when you arrive, took us ages to find the switch, it’s hidden behind the bread bin, I think this should be in the book for people to see.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

Lodge was lovely and comfortable. It was well equipped apart from missing batteries in the torch and not working in the remote controls. Also the fridge is turned off on arrival. It would be helpful to have where the switch is turn it back on in the hand book as it is hidden behind the bread bin!
