It was a great start to 2024. Thank you Hilary and Philip for creating this sanctuary. The wet weather did not spoil our stay as we were near Kendal centre, relatives & friends and access to our favourite Lake District locations.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay so much that you extended your holiday! We hope we can welcome you back in the future. Lakelovers Owner Team Property Owner

  • "A lovely place to spend Christmas, one of our best self catering finds."

Warm, cosy, clean, very well equipped and helpful to have friendly owners next door but still very private. It was good to be able to walk into Kendal plus having rural walks on our doorstep. In Kendal the private parking was an asset. The bed & sofas were very comfortable and the interior tastefully decorated as well as Christmas decorations & a small tree outside.

  • "This lovely little cottage is indeed a gem."

We were really fortunate to be moved from our original cottage to this one. Even though we didn’t arrive until 2130 with the hosts not expecting us they welcomed us at extremely short notice, made us feel exceptionally welcome and were so friendly and reassuring. The facilities were first class, as was location and cleanliness. The parking space was truly a bonus. We would definitely return and recommend,

Nestled amidst the stunning natural beauty of the area, the apartment provided the perfect blend of both elegance and modern comfort. The breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the tranquil atmosphere made for a truly rejuvenating experience. The apartment itself was impeccably maintained, with a cozy fireplace, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen that made it feel like a home away from home. The thoughtful touches, such as a welcome basket filled with lovely treats added an extra layer of warmth and hospitality. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making sure every aspect of our stay was seamless.
