  • "A lovely property, very well decorated and maintained."

Cosy and warm even in awful weather. Good to have parking and ideal for all activities in Keswick. The only thing to suggest is a Cafetiere and personally for me a more comfortable mattress. Won't stop us re-booking. Wonderful.

Thanks for your lovely feedback Domini. Cafetiere purchased. Paula Property Owner

  • "Fantastic time at Sunnybank Cottage which was perfect for us."

2 en suite bedrooms and downstairs toilet a real bonus. Everything very clean and tidy, well equipped and had been decorated for Christmas which was lovely. Location is terrific, extremely handy for all Keswick has to offer whilst being very quiet and peaceful. Very good outside space too if visiting in summertime and parking directly outside the cottage another plus. We definitely hope to return.

  • "Toilet in double bedroom was really dirty under the rim, sealant around showers needs better cleaning and the squeegee for showers are fit for the bin."

I and my sister have mobility problem and require to hold onto bannister. The first 3 steps at the bottom of the stairs needs a bannister. Smart tv but is not set up to use iPlayer ie free apps not Netflix or Amazon. Re mobility it would be worth while noting that The Seams is on a slope and some people might find it a bit of a struggle walking up the road. I realise the first comments are negative We did enjoy our stay . The accommodation was comfortable. The garden was great .

Hello Renee. Thanks for providing feedback on the cottage. We are very sorry about the cleaning issue with the toilet and that we did not meet our exacting standards of cleanliness on this occasion. We will investigate this with our cleaners. We will also check the sealant in the shower. I have also purchased some new shower squeegee's for both en-suites. We will also check the issue with the Smart TV and update our information to advise guests they need to use their own accounts for the free apps and also paid services. I am pleased overall that you had a good stay. Paula Property Owner

Everything you need for a break in the Lakes - parking, a place for walking gear, deceptively spacious with plenty of hanging space and cupboards, lovely views from the windows (got some brilliant sunsets) and a great view in the kitchen diner too!

Thanks for your feedback Amanda. I love being able to look out of the front window at Skiddaw and then walk to the back to see Catbells, and then out the side window to look towards Whinlatter!! (and the view in the kitchen/diner is the best!! (one of our guests from Woolstore let us have that photo to use)). Property Owner

  • "We have stayed at sunnybank before and it's like a home from home, amazing location good to have parking and the house is really well kitted out."

The decor is lovely it has everything you need, nice to have a little garden and outdoor seating. A lovely quiet street we slept very well. Note for the owner We just found the front door very hard to unlock the key is very stiff in the lock so a little lubricant in the key lock would solve that problem. Also it would be handy to have a few hooks for example on the back of the bathroom door to hang things like a dressing gown. Finally a few more pegs to hang out washing would be super handy.

Hello Christina. Thanks for letting us know about the door, all fixed. Peg purchased and we will sort some hooks. Thanks for taking the time to send feedback, appreciated. Paula Property Owner

  • "This property is possibly the best we have ever stayed in, and we've stayed in a lot over the last 15 years!"

It had everything we needed, including parking (a godsend in Keswick), underfloor heating, a sunny back garden with bike store, lovely views from upstairs, comfy beds, 2 ensuites with amazing showers, WiFi etc. It was just perfect. Being there for New Years Eve around the Moot Hall was extra special. The proximity to the shops, restaurants and lake was great, and still quiet, with it being on a small one-way back street. We would love to go back if they can fit us in!

Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback and comments, and for contacting us directly too which was very kind. You are right, the cottage is very popular and with only 9 weeks left this year, then yes another stay need careful planning!! Paula Property Owner

The property is lovely and very well located for all of the amenities. We didn’t use our car a lot at all! The property has been finished to a very good standard and we enjoyed having a tv in our room! The only downside was that the property was very cold for the first 24 hours but this was very quickly resolved by the owners. Also we found that when we arrived the floor in the kitchen and lounge wasn’t particularly clean but everywhere else was. We would definitely stay again!

Hello Michael, nice to speak to you during your stay and pleased we got the heating sorted for you. Apologies for the floor, we had contractors in to fix a leak and we should have checked the floor cleaning afterwards! Property Owner

We were a little worried about the merger with Sykes, as we’ve had poor reports of Sykes’ customer service from friends. Now that you are one entity, please take your learning from Lakelovers and continue with their great service etc, as you did for this holiday. Very pleased to see the Lakelovers branding still in place and to find the high standards which we have come to expect from Lakelovers still operating.
