Really well equipped, beautiful decor. Comfy beds. We stayed over Christmas and had a fabulous time. We saw red squirrels in the garden along with rabbits and a pheasant. The enclosed garden is great for dogs to run around.

  • "If you want peace, quiet and total relaxation, then this is the place for you."

If you want easy access to motorway links, towns and tourist spots, then this is the place for you, what a very rare combination! Our two dogs loved the large, very secure garden, as well as watching the two wee robins that came up to the patio doors every morning to look for their breakfast. We went at a time when there was snow, ice and very low temperatures, when we arrived the cottage was so warm and toasty for us to walk into. Very comfortable furniture and beds. The owner has thought of everything for you to have a comfortable stay, so many little extras that you don't get at other properties. Such a convenient place to stay, 5 minutes to a couple of villages either way, 10 minutes to Perth, where you have a large choice of shops and supermarkets. Go to the bottom of the drive turn right to go to Fife, left to Perth and 5 minutes take you to the motorway for Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Dundee, Inverness. What more could you ask for?

The cottage is very well appointed, we had everything we needed. It was spacious, private and the gardens were ideal for our two dogs. We even saw red squirrels! It is well located for picturesque countryside but also the motorway for further afield trips. As it is all on one level it was a perfect convalescence home for me recovering from a hip replacement. We most certainly be back!

Easy to reach if any questions, friendly and welcoming. The cottage is the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing place my little family and I have stayed to date, and we will absolutely be back in the future to continue our exploration of beautiful Scotland. The cottage is an ideal base to go out and discover the glorious countryside, alongside the captivating cities of Edinburgh and Stirling with their magical architecture and places to see. The kitchen is also well equipped with a free standing fridge freezer as well as a smaller fridge, and all the cutlery etc that could ever be required. A truly fabulous and joyously relaxing week for two adults and our young children, the garden is also perfect for a toddler to run freely to their hearts content, whilst being absolutely safe and enclosed. The children (and is grown ups) loved the wildlife that frequented the grounds with rabbits, birds and even a bat. Huge thanks to Tara for welcoming us to her cottage, it could not have been any better, exactly what was needed.

It has everything a family needs for a comfortable, relaxing stay, and is ideally located for exploring Perthshire, Fife and even Glasgow/Edinburgh. Of particular note, the rooms are larger than the photos convey (particularly the lounge and kitchen) and the Internet connectivity was more than adequate for relaxing with some streaming TV in the evening. We also appreciated the fully enclosed garden, and so can recommend the property if you’re planning to holiday with a dog. (as we did).

We are from Edinburgh, so not too far away, but with home working these last two years things can get tricky in your own space learning how to switch off - there’s always something to be done! This was the perfect setting for us. Very spacious, very clean and well decorated, very homely, great smart TV and a wonderful garden for the dog (which is very well maintained) in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped, great utility, comfortable sofas and a lovely bathroom/powerful shower. I feel like I’ve had two weeks off work- when it’s just been a week. Some family came up to visit whilst we were there and they are now thinking of booking. Just wonderful - thank you.

  • "Thus is a beautiful cottage to stay."

Comfortable bed, great bathroom, utility room, lounge and massive garden, which our dog, Amber, loved to play in. Excellent facilities, with large kitchen/diner. Lots of kitchenware and cutlery. Only one negative. Very small fridge with tiny ice box. We had to be careful when going shopping, thinking would we get it into the fridge. Considering this is self catering for up to 4 people, I think they would struggle with the lack of fridge space. There were only 2 of us and we found it a bit of a problem. The kitchen is so spacious it could easily take a full height frudge/freezer. Having said that, we spent a very enjoyable week there.

  • "This was a wonderful property and we really enjoyed our stay."

A larger fridge would have been useful, as with the high heat we did try to store lots of ice and drinks as well as some food, and it was a bit of a squeeze. But that's a really minor thing and the weather was unusually hot. We loved the wooden flooring, the bed was really comfortable, excellent TV, great space. We particularly liked the sliding doors from the living room to the garden and had these open most of the time, allowing the dog to wander in and out and lie on the patio for an afternoon snooze. The garden is excellent for dog owners and the surrounding forest makes this place a really good private retreat. We found it really nice standing out in the garden on a night after the sun had gone down, staring up at the stars and watching the bats flying around. And the shower was very nice. Some cottages have poor water pressure and the shower can be disappointing, but not this one. it was so powerful it was like having a massage. Overall definitely one of the best holiday cottages that we have stayed in, and one we hope to return to.

The views…just wow! I’m really missing looking out the sliding doors up the hill! It’s very quiet with only the odd car going past, the garden is secure but If your dog can jump high then you’ll need to keep an eye out for them, one of mine hopped it on the first day but settled afterwards! The garden is perfect for dogs, loads of room for them to run around! The host Tara was very accommodating and friendly, this was our honeymoon and she had given us a card, flowers and a lovely bottle of fizz! Definitely the best holiday we have been on, we will be booking up again!

Other than that it is a lovely little cottage and my husband and I and our two dogs wouldn't hesitate to go back (after some reassurance the heating was working). There are loads of great places within easy access and a nice little walk direct from the cottage which the dogs appreciated in the morning and evening, the large garden is really secure for the dogs and a huge bonus.

A welcome surprise was a dishwasher that wasn't mentioned in the amenities. The cottage itself was warm & welcoming, beds were very comfortable as were the settees in the lounge. The kitchen had every utensil you could ever need/want. The wildlife in the surrounding area was lovely red squirrels, rabbits & the odd chicken wandering by. The wifi was very intermittent but this was advertised at the time of booking. Mobile reception was also poor so wouldn't advise for anyone who relies heavily on their phones.
