Short stay in the lakes at the start of the Easter hols, the never ending Winter of 2024 limited activity somewhat but I managed to do these lesser known fells using the route on this site (although looks like I've just missed the top of Sour Howes)! Cool and windy but not too boggy on top, although managed to give the new shoes the ultimate test when I went ankle deep descending Sallows, pleased to report feet stayed dry. Only saw 3 or 4 people all afternoon but did see some jets for once. Teenager was grumpy.

Grumpy teenager ascending Sour Howes and ruining the view of Windermere :-D

Me and better half on Sallows
