A hill is classified as a Hewitt if it is one of the 207 Irish, 180 English, and 136 Welsh hills over 2000 feet with 30 metres drop (Hewitt being, sort of, an acronym for Hills in England, Wales and Ireland over Two Thousand feet high).
The TACit Press publishes booklets with details of the Hewitts.
There are 114 Hewitts in the Lake District.
