Having stayed in the village of Dockray for our last 2 Summer holidays we though it only right to climb our 'local' fell, even though it's not a Wainwright!

It was a fairly steep climb through boggy ground, over indistinct paths and crossing a few becks but we were rewarded with a fantastic view of Ullswater from the top of Common Fell.

The path became even more unclear as we headed over to Swineside Knott before turning for home and enjoying views of Dockray with Great Mell Fell beyond.
