Date started:29/07/2024
Distance:8.4 km or 5.2 miles
Ascent:538m or 1765ft
Descent:539m or 1768ft
Start OSGB:NY386188
Time taken:2:43
Naismith:2:35

Having abandoned Sheffield Pike the day before I set off to tackle it myself by going 'round the back' while the girls went for a swim in Ullswater. The early part of the walk through the farm was initially quite steep however it leveled off into a lovely stroll traversing the hillside. Doing a 180 at Nick Head the route then became somewhat boggy which was good fun before arriving at the top. It was a lovely quiet stroll, I only saw a handful of people all day and had the summit to myself to enjoy my Twix (other chocolate bars are available).
