Discovering a lovely little hill overlooking the seaside town of Arnside. Starting at the Arnside chippy we followed footpaths and lanes up the hill before emerging onto the open hillside for a short steep climb. The bench before the wall isn't the top, which is through a rickety gate and marked by a well maintained trig point.

Turning right we discovered another viewpoint with a view of Fairfield (possibly) over the Arnside viaduct.

A steep descent leads to woodland which continues to drop down to the shore of Morecambe Bay, the tide was out which meant we could walk on the beach. Always nice when you can combine hills and seaside! If you fancy an ice cream keep an eye out for the little beach hut cafe tucked away behind the coastguard station.
