LADS & DADS 2015 - DAY 2 Started out from NDG and headed up The Band - a bit of a slog, but deviated some half way up onto the Climbers Traverse. This is an excellent route if you don't mind getting reasonably "edgy". This brings you out at the foot of the Great Slab, a quite remarkable bit of geology. An interesting climb/crawl up - it's only pitched at about 3- degrees or so, but still "interesting. Having topped out onto Bow Fell, we then dropped down and then climbed up, and continued over Esk Pike eventually dropping down to Sprinkling Tarn and back to ODG for a welcoming pint. It was one of those glorious Lakeland days with little or no wind and wall to wall sunshine. (I think I'm turning into a bit of a wimp...)

Aside from taking in the Crinkles, I think that this is a good ascent from ODG/NDG with the traverse and the slab adding considerable interest - I would certainly recommend it.
