Hills walked:
Seat How (Thornthwaite) (Birkett and Synge)
Distance:6.0 km or 3.7 miles
Ascent:255m or 837ft
Start OSGB:NY208245
Naismith:1:38

A rather wet weekend in the Lakes this weekend, so I was on the hunt for something fairly relaxed and with plenty of tree cover

This route started from the Winlatter Forest Visitor Centre (which happens to have a pretty decent cafe...) and was a way marked trail across mostly gravelled paths and some forestry roads.

The board at the start that lists some of the available routes has this down as a 3.5 mile circular walk, but don't take any notice of the time estimates as they seem to be aimed primarily at families walking with children.

Some decent views from the high point of Seat How, as the rain lifted just as I got there!
