Beth and Jessie have completed their third trip and so we've got some more walks on the site including two up Latrigg, one of the lowest Wainwrights at 364m but still worth a visit as it offers super views over Keswick and Derwent Water:
Haweswater Reservoir Lakeshore Path
Latrigg: A Short Stroll is a short 2km stroll up Latrigg from the car park on the north east side. A very popular local walk.
The old Keswick Railway Line and Latrigg a longer walk up Latrigg starting from Keswick making use of the old Cockermouth, Keswick, and Penrith Railway trackbed which is now a cycleway and designated NCN 71.
Branstree and Selside Pike from Mardale Head is a mountain walk from the end of Haweswater with everything: rough paths, peat bogs, waterfalls, a steep descent, and all with fantastic views tinged with the remoteness of this quiet Lakeland area.
WalkLakes recognises that hill walking, or walking in the mountains, is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death.
