Nice walk, quite busy this day between Elterwater and Skelwith but everyone was well behaved. The Caves appear fully open after the rock falls (I think the picture shows new additions to the cave floor). There were no information boards but plenty of people to tell you which tunnels to go down! Our track shows we approached from the East and after climbing up the short bank turned left under NCN637. There is a long tunnel there (torches make it easier) which leads to the upper chamber. As we had our dog we did not scramble down to the lower chamber from there. Instead we went up the steps and walked down the path to find the tunnel entrance to the lower chamber.

Of note where the following facilities:

Park Farm Honesty Box DIY tea room and a self serve ice cream stand, High Park Farm also had refreshments on offer.

Nice walk, lots of people, everyone was good, caves were cool with new stuff, and good to know about the tea room and ice cream stand at Park Farm and High Park Farm.

That is a grand walk. Our variation on it, Waterfalls and the Cathedral Cavern, from Elterwater, which is pretty similar to your route is one of our most popular walks. It currently ranks number six (and it has been higher in the past).
