A very pleasant half days walk from Great Langdale. I was stopping at the National Trust campsite so walked from there, up a new looking zig zag path to join the road at the head of the pass. From here I diverted off, on Wainwright’s recommendation to Side Pike which provided quite magnificent views across the valley to the Langdale Pikes. Steps were retraced for a short while and then the long ridge with equally long wall is followed leading me nicely to the summit of Lingmoor Fell. A good graded path drops to the road at Blea Tarn House and I follow this back to the campsite for a spot of lunch. you can read my blog on this walk click here if you like https://jimearl6.com/lingmoor-fell-from-great-langdale/
