Starting from Tilberthwaite car park I headed up through the old slate mine workings. Dropping Into the small gorge I crossed over Yewdale Beck on a wooden footbridge and then climbed up and into Dry Cove Bottom with views of Wetherlam across the valley. It’s a bit of a scramble up Wetherlam Edge to the summit but the views are worth it. From here I headed south along the Lad Stones ridge which gave me great views of Coniston water and The Old Man. Reaching the footpath at Hole Rake I turned left and headed back to Tilberthwaite on a good path. To read my blog on this walk click https://jimearl6.com/a-walk-up-wetherlam-from-tilberthwaite/
