From Seathwaite Farm the farm track takes you to the lovely and much photographed Stockley Bridge. From here the path up Grains Gill leads to Great End. A left turn takes you to Esk Hause and Allen Crags is reached after a short climb. Steps are retraced back to Sprinkling Tarn. At the tarn Seathwaite Fell lies across some boggy terrain and a short sharp drop off the fell takes you to the Sty Head path which is followed back to Stockley Bridge and the start.
