Took a quick jaunt up Bowscale Fell on Sunday Morning as I'd never been up that way before.

Ended up being quite a nice walk, and was quiet for the most part. though there were a lot more people setting out as we were heading down - we seemed to miss the traffic :D

Quite a nice trip out, with some great views across to Blencathra. Weather stayed mostly clear too, though there was a fierce wind blowing up at the top.

Looking down to Bowscale Tarn after a quick detour.

Looking across to Blencathra from near Bannerdale Crags.

Heading back down past The Tongue - lots of sheep just hanging out on and around the path here who seemed very unwilling to move!

Good to see someone else taking time to detour to take in the view of Bowscale Tarn

Seemed like it was worth making the effort after the climb, and it certainly was. We were considering heading down that way if possible, but we’d have then had quite a long road walk back to the car so we decided against it.
