The ascent of the ridge affords views second only to that of Fleetwith Pike. All the way up Ullock, Long Side and Carl Side If you can see the view its fantastic. We parked at the the Mire House car park, and went clockwise around. The walks through the woods are delight.

There is only one tricky point on the whole route it is on the descent of Carl Side. Wainwright notes on the page of 'Carl Side 4' that it is a 'short arete of straited rock' its a bit tricky to get across or around.

That aside exceptional views and good paths.
