We wondered down the wrong road for a bit but it wasn't unpleasant...! Once heading in the right direction we soon surveyed the scree slope direct route and stuck to our plan to sneak up the side, that had one or two bad steps in it so we did not go back down that way. Rather we went straight down to Mosedale and ambled back along the nice track.
