This walk starts in Glenridding. Climbing up to Birkhouse Moor good views are had looking back to Ullswater. From the grassy summit of Birkhouse Moor the Helvellyn horseshoe is seen to good effect. A descent to Red Tarn follows and then a zig and a zag climb up to the summit of Catstyecam. Enjoy the views here over to Helvellyn and across Ullswater to the Far Eastern Fells. From the summit the South East ridge is taken down onto Glenridding Common and then back down to the village If you would like to read more about this route and my own experience of walking it please click on the link https://jimearl6.com/birkhouse-moor-and-catstyecam/#more-5998
