This is a good walk with great views of Ullswater, the Eastern Fells and over to the Northern Pennines. From St Peter’s Church in the quiet corner of Lakeland that is Martindale walk up and over Steel Knotts and the onto the final remnants of the Roman road. This will take you over Wether Hill, Loadpot Hill and ends at Arthur’s Pike. Bonscale Pike is also taken in before a steep drop to Howtown and a return to St Peter’s Church.
