One of the classic Lakeland walks. From Patterdale I went up the path to Boredale Hause. At the Hause it’s a steady upward climb to the distinct summit of Place Fell. After admiring the views across to Helvellyn and down to Glenridding and Ullswater I followed the path towards High Dodd, passing Low Moss Sheepfold and then dropped down to the shores of Ullswater at Scalehow Wood. The shoreline path, which can be rough in places as it is now part of the Ullswater Way was followed past Silver Point and Silver Crag back to Patterdale.
