Parking up on the road by Loweswater we made our way up the track and then on to the fell side. The weather was so warm that my wife and daughter quickly gave up and returned back to the lake for a swim leaving me on my own. The route across darling fell was indistinct and then dropped down only to leave a steep climb up to Low Fell. The views up Crummock Water were outstanding especially from the promontory just south of the Wainwright top.

It was then a pleasantly undulating route out to Fellbarrow followed by an easy plod along the track back to the car.

Looks like a cracking walk, and you quickly bagged five tops, which is a nice bonus.
