This is me starting to catch up on my walks & with the lake district now to far for family reasons my holiday in 2024 was North Wales.

This was my day of arrival on 11th Sept 2024 & my plan was to walk from the campsite where I was staying up Moel Elio.

The GPX file is of the whole walk I actually did.

Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned, 1st of, after getting a reasonable distance I realised I’d forgotten to put my drink in ruck sack, but decided to persevere, as looking across to Dinorwic quarry one could see some blue sky, but the weather had it’s own mind & rain came, that turned to hail as I was going higher, which with the strong wind meant I was being painfully shot blasted in the face. So I turned round & went back to campsite. This part is covered by pics 1 to 8.

Having retrieved drink & the weather moderating and still with time I picked a more sheltered walk up the valley on the path that intercepts the Yr Wyddfa/ Snowden Ranger path. This 2nd part is pics 9 to 11
