Red Pike from Middle Fell
Red Pike from Middle Fell

There are two Red Pikes in the Lake District, this one, and one above Buttermere just a few miles away. Its summit cairn sits on the very edge of precipitous eastern crags above Mosedale between Yewbarrow and Scoat Fell.

Often climbed as part of the Mosedale horseshoe it can also be climbed from Ennerdale in a rather long day.
