Lingmell is situated between Wasdale and the Scafells. It can be climbed from Brackenclose at the head of Wast Water via Lingmell Gill and Brown Tongue, or as part of a larger Scafells day. Grass slopes on its south and west slopes are contrasted by precipitous northern and western crags.
