Hills Database Updated

We've just imported the latest version of the Database of British and Irish hills which adds another five hills to our database and makes lots of changes to the existing hill data, especially the addition of some new classifications. We were previously on version 13.1 and we're now on 13.2 which was released on 18th August. The full revision history is available.

The changes to classifications to our database, which as we said had already been updated is as follows (these all fall outside the Lake District but may be of interest to you if you walk elsewhere too).

There are two new Marilyns Lamberton Hill and Mynydd Anelog. Also Middleton Hill is no longer a twin with Brandy Hill. The summit of both hills is a trig pillar but Middleton Hill has a lower flush bracket height in the OS database.

Also in Marilyns Meall an Tarsaid (old GR) replaces Meall an Tarsaid and the summit has reverted to its original 1992 position.

In Scotland The Saddle - Trig Point (hill 686) replaces The Saddle (hill 688) as the Marilyn. However the latter remains the Munro.

As usual your bagging lists will have been automatically updated as appropriate.

Normally we would give you a list here of the changes to classifications only but this time around it's vast because they have added five new classifications for:

and as we're sure you can imagine a lot of hills are affected if you want to see a list of all the changes, to names, heights, description of summit feature, locations, and (especially) classifications can be found here.
