No Road Access to Tarn Hows Today

We saw this tweet from the National Trust on Twitter this morning:

So if you're heading for the lovely Tarn Hows by car today you're out of luck.

Tarn Hows

However we do have another option for you: start at Coniston. Our walk Tarn Hows from Coniston is just over 6 miles with 250m of ascent which isn't too much of a stretch so you might like to consider that instead. You even get the reward of a choice of cafés in Coniston when you get back for a well earned cup of tea.
