If you go to any of our hill pages then for an ever increasing number of them, you should find we've put up a photo of the hill, either one we've taken ourselves (like Little Mell Fell) or one from someone else that we can legally use (like Scafell Pike). But we also link to two other sites with photos of hills:
Little Mell Fell
Hill Summit Areas has photos of the summit areas of many British hills, and if there is a page with photos you will find a link to it from our hill page.
Some Flickr users now tag their photos of hills in the database with the hill number thus "hillNNNN" so, if there are any photos with that tag, we now provide a link to the page.
Glenridding Dodd provides a good example with links to both of these.
If you are a photographer and use Flickr to post photos of hills you might like to tag your photos too (the hill number is in the address of each hill's page).
WalkLakes recognises that hill walking, or walking in the mountains, is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death.
Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
