Hills Database Updated

We've just imported the latest version of the Database of British and Irish hills which adds another 53 hills to our database and makes lots of changes to the existing hill data. We were previously on version 12.1 (with some changes we'd done for any significant re-classifications through the year) and we're now on 13 which was released last Sunday. The full revision history is available.

The changes to classifications to our database for hills in the Lake District are as follows. Of particular note is that we are now recording the hills which are Furths. These are hills over 3000ft in England and Wales1 and all the ones in England are in the Lake District.

  1. Furths also include hills over 3000ft in Ireland, although our version of the database doesn't include those.
