We've been doing some work to update the site's home page and, as part of that, we've added a 'Felltop Forecast' box summarising today's weather, or this evening's and tomorrow's if you visit later in the day.

From there you can click through to a new and detailed Fell Top Weather page giving you a forecast for fell walking in the Lake District and including information like the chance of cloud free summits and conditions through the day at 900m, 600m, 300m, and valley level.

In the winter we also include the Fell Top Assessors' report when available.

The forecast also includes an outlook forecast for the next four days, although with less detail of course.

So if you're walking in the Lakes regularly you might want to bookmark our new page.

WalkLakes recognises that hill walking, or walking in the mountains, is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death.
Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
