Electricity from Wind, Sun and You

Powertraveller powermonkey expedition charger

Today we chanced across the Powermonkey Expedition from Powertraveller. It's essentially a 10,500mAh battery for expeditions which you can use to power or charge your devices such as GPS or cellphone.

Nothing new there but what makes it stand out from the crowd is the number of ways you can charge it:

It's geeky and rather cool, although at 1Kg for the whole lot it's rather heavy for backpacking, but you could choose which bits you take with you.

Anyway here's a video of it being discussed by Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Squash Falconer, and Kenton Cool.

It's not going on sale until May but if it appeals you can register your interest on their web site now.
