The highest peak on the fabulous north - south ridge stretching from near Ambleside to Thelkeld. Breaking the craggy east side are the ridges of Striding Edge, and Swirrel Edge which drop down to Glenridding and Patterdale. The west drops gently down to the picturesque Thirlmere reservoir.
