New Scafell Pike Walk

As Scafell Pike is a very popular fell to want to climb we've added another walk to our portfolio, this time via the rough terrain of Mickledore. Joining two of our favourite paths this circular route Scafell Pike circular via Mickledore passes through fantastic mountain scenery to summit Scafell Pike and shows you some outstanding long-distance views.

We hope you'll enjoy it but if this route doesn't take your fancy they would might want to consider one of our other routes up Scafell Pike:

• Scafell Pike - The Easy Way - this is the classic route, straight up and down again, and is the most downloaded walk on our web site. It's quick, but there's more interesting routes.

• Scafell Pike via Mickledore - another route to the summit via Mickledore but without the extension along the Corridor Route to Sty Head so if you want a shorter walk which still explores Mickledore this may be the one for you.

• Scafell Pike and Scafell via Foxes Tarn - it's easy to forget that that the mighty fell Scafell lies just to the south west of Scafell Pike (and was once thought to be higher) so you can do a fine walk taking in both and again use Mickledore, this time to cross between them. It's not an easy walk but for the more experienced fell walker it's a great option.

• Scafell Pike via the Corridor Route from Wasdale - if Mickledore seems too challenging then this is a similar route to our new walk which goes in the opposite direction but gets to Scafell Pike and down again via Lingmell Col.

• Great End, Scafell Pike, and Lingmell: a roundabout journey - this long walk gives you three Wainwrights in one hit with Lingmell and Great End making for a grand day out.

• Scafell Pike from Seathwaite via the Corridor Route - all our other walks start from Wasdale Head but there is another option, much favoured by people doing the Three Peaks Challenge, to start from Seathwaite and come in via the Corridor Route.
