First time visitors to Wasdale are naturally drawn to Scafell Pike, the highest summit in England, and we published our two straightforward routes up there recently but there are lots of walks which take in the Pike and there's other hills to explore around Wasdale Head too. Here's a few of our other walks:
Yewbarrow - this hill is a fantastic viewpoint for much of the Western Fells and beyond and our walk takes you over it via a sensible route which avoids Stirrup Crag at the northern end, a descent which has caused even Wainwright to shed a little blood.
And remember our Lake District Walk Finder has lots more walks for you to try if none of these take your fancy.
WalkLakes recognises that hill walking, or walking in the mountains, is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death.
Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions.
